The 2nd Annual ThanksTroops Golf Tournament will be held in Colorado Springs on August 7th to raise funds for recreational opportunities for returning wounded soldiers such as modified golf carts placed at area courses and modified outings for activities such as hunting and jet skiing.

Area civilian golfers are paired in foursomes with military veterans and active duty personnel for a round of golf. Free meals and refreshments are provided from breakfast through dinner for all participants by local sponsors.

committed to the enrichment of the lives of
wounded warriors and their families.

In 2008 we raised enough funds to:

  • Three Solo Rider modified golf carts for use throughout Colorado Springs
  • A $3200 donation to HomeFront Cares
  • An all expenses paid day at Mr. Biggs Family Fun Center for twenty five
    military families in need of support during the holiday season
  • Sponsorship of a wounded soldier to compete in a skeet shooting competition
  • Purchase of custom long-drive golf clubs for a wounded soldier to build a business

In 2009 proceeds will go to a variety of projects incuding:

  • Scholarships for sons and daughters of wounded warriors through the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
